Stockton, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5 N/SR-12 Off-Ramp, Injuries Reported

Stockton, CA (December 31, 2025) – A two-vehicle accident on northbound I-5 at the SR-12 off-ramp resulted in injuries late Tuesday, December 30, authorities reported. The crash involved a dark gray SUV and a dark gray truck. CHP officers stated that the collision occurred after the suspect vehicle began brake-checking the victim’s vehicle, causing the victim to attempt an evasive maneuver. The suspect vehicle then swerved into the victim’s path, forcing both vehicles into the center divider.

Both drivers were assessed on the scene; one declined ambulance transport despite reporting injuries. The vehicles sustained moderate damage and remained partially blocking lanes until tow services arrived. CHP continues to investigate the circumstances that led to the collision and is gathering witness statements. Traffic in the area was temporarily slowed while crews worked to clear the roadway.
