Thurston Co., WA – Injuries Reported in Car vs. Semi-Truck Crash on I-5/Mounts Rd

Thurston County, WA (November 27, 2025) – A collision involving a passenger car and a semi-truck caused injuries on Wednesday afternoon, November 27, on I-5 southbound near Mounts Road and Old Nisqually Road. Washington State Patrol Public Information Officer Kameron Watts reported the crash around 3:46 p.m.

Fire crews were the first to arrive and immediately began assessing the injured occupants. At least one person sustained moderate injuries, though officials have not confirmed whether they were transported or treated on site. Troopers worked to clear debris and coordinate the arrival of heavy-duty tow trucks required for the semi-tractor.

Early indications suggest that lanes were partially blocked for an extended period as crews completed cleanup efforts. WSP continues to investigate the cause of the collision. More details will be released once the report is finalized.
