Altadena, CA – Five-Vehicle Crash on I-5 at Roscoe Blvd Leaves Several Injured

Altadena, CA (September 1, 2025) – A major five-vehicle accident on Interstate 5 southbound at the Roscoe Boulevard on-ramp caused injuries on Monday afternoon, September 1. The California Highway Patrol reported to the scene around 12:07 p.m. According to officials, the crash involved two BMWs, a Honda, and at least two other vehicles. Several lanes were blocked, leaving heavy congestion for southbound traffic.

Medics assessed multiple victims at the scene, and at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital. Another driver, operating a black BMW 540, declined ambulance transport after evaluation. Tow trucks from multiple companies were dispatched to remove the damaged vehicles. CHP officers noted that traffic extended past Sunland as cleanup continued. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
