Altadena, CA – Motorcycle Rider Injured in Collision on I-5 Near Sunland Blvd.

Altadena, CA (August 10, 2025) – A collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV on Interstate 5 North near Sunland Boulevard left one rider injured on the morning of Friday, August 8. The crash occurred in the HOV lane just south of Sunland Boulevard around 7:41 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The rider, described as a civilian motorcyclist, sustained injuries in the crash.

Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene, providing immediate on-site medical assistance before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Tow crews from Rowlett’s Tow responded to remove the damaged motorcycle and SUV from the roadway. The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating the cause of the collision.
