Los Angeles, CA – Several Injured in I-5 Collision Near Lorena St.

Los Angeles, CA (August 10, 2025) – On the afternoon of August 8, a collision on the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Lorena Street left multiple people injured, including a pregnant woman. The crash occurred around 3:41 p.m. and involved a blue Dodge and a black Kia. According to the California Highway Patrol’s Los Angeles division, the impact left the black Kia heavily damaged.

One of its occupants, a woman nine months pregnant, required immediate medical attention. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics arrived quickly, providing emergency care at the scene before transporting her to a nearby hospital for observation. Officers temporarily closed the Calzona onramp to northbound I-5 while investigators examined the scene. Tow crews later removed both vehicles from the highway.
