Oceanside, CA – Two Riders Injured in Multi-Motorcycle Crash on I-5

Oceanside, CA (August 10, 2025) – Two motorcyclists were injured after a collision involving a Volkswagen sedan on Interstate 5 north of Mission Avenue on August 8. The crash occurred around 4:46 p.m., when both motorcycles went down in the middle lanes. The California Highway Patrol arrived to find the motorcycles and riders lying in the number 2 and 3 lanes, along with a black Volkswagen stopped on the right shoulder. Emergency crews from the Oceanside Fire Department quickly rendered aid to the riders, both of whom were later transported to Tri-City Medical Center for further treatment. Angelo’s Tow Services assisted in removing the damaged motorcycles from the roadway. Authorities are still determining whether speed or unsafe lane changes were contributing factors to the crash.
