Altadena, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5 SB/Hollywood Way Leaves Injuries

Altadena, CA (December 11, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash on I-5 southbound near the Hollywood Way on-ramp left several people injured on Thursday, December 11. The California Highway Patrol reported that multiple vehicles, including a gray Toyota sedan, a big rig, a white sedan, and a gray sedan, were involved in two separate but related collisions. One of the crashes involved a hit-and-run driver in a box truck who fled the scene after striking an abandoned vehicle.

Responding officers found significant lane blockage, with one vehicle facing the wrong direction and others positioned along the right shoulder. One person involved complained of pain and was assisted at the scene before being transported for medical evaluation.

CHP coordinated with towing services to clear damaged vehicles, including a Honda Civic with major rear-end and front-end damage. Officers are still reviewing witness accounts to determine whether reckless driving contributed to the crash.
