Altadena, CA – Multi-Vehicle Injury Crash on I-5 Near SR-118

Altadena, CA (December 18, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision with injuries occurred on I-5 North near State Route 118 West in Altadena on Wednesday, December 17. Department crews responded and requested an ambulance as the injured parties were identified. At least one person was treated on-site before being transported for additional medical care. Freeway Service Patrol and tow operators worked to clear the vehicles as lanes four through six were temporarily blocked. Traffic was heavily impacted until the roadway was cleared. CHP is investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
