Capistrano, CA – Overturned SUV and Injuries in I-5 Crash/Crown Valley Pkwy

Capistrano, CA (October 15, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 5 southbound near the Crown Valley Parkway on-ramp left at least one person injured Tuesday morning. Reports from CHP state that the crash involved a red sedan and a black SUV. The impact caused the SUV to overturn, leaving it resting on its roof as debris scattered across the roadway.

Emergency responders from the Orange County Fire Authority and CHP officers rushed to the scene, finding victims inside the vehicles. One individual suffered injuries that required ambulance transport to a nearby hospital, while others were treated at the scene for minor pain. Tow trucks worked to remove the overturned SUV, which caused major slowdowns along I-5 during the cleanup process. CHP has launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, with driver error and road conditions under review.
