Fort Tejon, CA – Vehicle and Semi Collision on I-5 SB Leaves Injuries
Fort Tejon, CA (December 4, 2025) – A crash involving a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck on southbound I-5 just north of Fort Tejon Road caused injuries and traffic delays on Wednesday afternoon, December 3. The collision prompted CHP responders to seek traffic breaks while attempting to move the wreck to the right-hand shoulder. The crash involved a black Nissan Altima and a transport van, as well as a semi-trailer that continued southbound after the impact.
One party was transported for medical evaluation, and authorities worked to coordinate a response with Golden Empire Tow to recover the damaged vehicle. A small white dog was also located inside one of the vehicles, and officers contacted Animal Control for safe handling. Multiple positioning updates were given as responders worked around lane blockages and set cones to mitigate fast-lane hazards, while Transportation Management activated digital alert signage for approaching traffic.
Investigations remain ongoing as CHP continues to gather details regarding how the collision occurred and why the semi did not remain on-scene.
