Los Angeles, CA – Four-Vehicle Collision on I-5 S/Ditman Ave Causes Injuries

Los Angeles, CA (August 30, 2025) – On the evening of August 30, a four-car crash on Interstate 5 southbound near Ditman Avenue left multiple people injured in the Los Angeles area. The California Highway Patrol officers reported that four vehicles collided in the slow lane, forcing traffic to a halt. At least one of the cars involved, a silver BMW, was pushed to the right shoulder by drivers attempting to clear the lanes.

Several motorists were seen outside their vehicles as emergency responders arrived. Authorities confirmed that paramedics provided medical care to the injured at the scene. At least one person was transported to a local hospital for further treatment, while others sustained minor injuries that did not require hospitalization.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, though officers noted that heavy congestion may have been a factor. Police are working to determine if distracted or reckless driving played a role.
