Los Angeles, CA – Four-Vehicle Crash on I-5 S/4th St., Injuries Reported

Los Angeles, CA (August 17, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision on the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near 4th Street in Los Angeles resulted in injuries on Sunday morning, August 17. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash involved a white van, a black Chevrolet Silverado, a Volkswagen Passat, and a Toyota Sienna. Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department assessed the victims and provided treatment. At least one person sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for further care. Others were treated on-site and released.

CHP confirmed significant lane closures during the response. Tow trucks were dispatched to remove the damaged vehicles, and Metro Tow assisted with clearing the van from the roadway. CHP has launched an investigation into the circumstances leading up to the collision.
