Los Angeles, CA – Multi-Vehicle Collision with Injuries on I-5/Weldon Canyon

Los Angeles, CA (September 21, 2025) – Several people sustained injuries in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 southbound near Weldon Canyon on Sunday evening, September 21. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the accident occurred around 6:18 p.m. and involved a silver Honda CRX, a black SUV, and an unidentified vehicle.

Troopers reported that the collision left multiple lanes blocked as damaged vehicles, including a black Lexus SUV and a gray Toyota 4Runner, came to rest in traffic. Paramedics treated victims complaining of pain at the scene, and at least one person was transported to a nearby hospital for further care.

Officials confirmed the injuries were not life-threatening. Crews worked to move the damaged vehicles onto the shoulder and later cleared the lanes after more than an hour of delays. CHP is investigating the cause of the collision, including whether speed or driver distraction may have played a role.

We wish a smooth recovery to those impacted by this crash.
