Los Angeles, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5 S/Mission Rd. On-Ramp Injures Several

Los Angeles, CA (August 21, 2025) – A three-vehicle crash left several people injured on Thursday morning, August 21, along the southbound lanes of I-5 near the Mission Road on-ramp in Central Los Angeles. CHP reported receiving calls about the accident shortly before 11:09 a.m., prompting emergency units to respond.

According to officers at the scene, three vehicles became entangled in the crash, leading to visible damage and at least two people sustaining injuries. Paramedics assessed the injured victims on-site before one individual was transported to a local medical facility for further treatment. None of the injuries was considered life-threatening.

The crash blocked portions of the roadway, causing significant slowdowns for late-morning commuters heading through the area. CHP officers directed traffic and worked to remove the damaged vehicles from the lanes.

Investigators are reviewing possible contributing factors.
