Santa Fe Springs, CA – Crash on I-5 N/Imperial Hwy. On-Ramp Leaves Injuries

Santa Fe Springs, CA (August 21, 2025) – On Thursday evening, August 21, a serious two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck and a blue pickup truck occurred along the northbound lanes of I-5 at the Imperial Highway on-ramp. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the crash around 7:27 p.m. Initial reports indicate that airbags were deployed in the pickup truck, and at least one person sustained injuries as a result of the impact.

Emergency medical crews arrived quickly at the scene and provided aid to the injured individual before transporting them to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The semi-truck driver remained on-site and cooperated with authorities during the investigation.

CHP confirmed that the crash remains under investigation to determine the exact cause.
