Los Angeles, CA – Wreck on I-5 N/Imperial Highway On-Ramp, Injuries Reported

Los Angeles, CA (August 21, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck and a blue pickup truck was reported on Thursday evening, August 21, along the northbound lanes of I-5 at the Imperial Highway on-ramp. CHP officers arrived at the crash site around 6:07 p.m. after reports of the vehicles blocking multiple lanes.

The force of the impact caused airbags to deploy inside the pickup truck, and at least one occupant suffered injuries. Paramedics arrived at the scene and treated the injured before transporting them to a nearby hospital for further medical care. The driver of the semi-truck was not reported to be seriously injured and remained at the scene to cooperate with investigators. Tow trucks were requested to remove the heavily damaged pickup truck and clear the lanes of debris.

Authorities confirmed that the cause of the crash is still under review, with possible contributing factors.
