Los Angeles, CA – Six-Vehicle Injury Crash on I-5 S/SR-60 Con.
Los Angeles, CA (January 27, 2026) – A six-vehicle collision on Interstate 5 southbound near the State Route 60 connector left multiple people injured on Monday, January 26, in central Los Angeles.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred just north of Whittier Boulevard. Vehicles involved included a gray Ford Escape, a white hybrid sedan, a white Ford utility vehicle, a work truck, a gray Nissan, and a silver Lexus.
One person reportedly sustained injuries and received medical assistance at the scene, while others were transported to local hospitals for further treatment. Fire crews and CHP officers coordinated traffic control as tow trucks worked to clear the scene.
The collision caused delays for motorists traveling southbound, and lanes were gradually reopened once vehicles were removed. Authorities have not released information regarding the extent of the injuries. CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
