Oceanside, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash on I-5/Leucadia Causes Injuries

Oceanside, CA (January 28, 2026) – A two-vehicle collision on Interstate 5 southbound near Leucadia Boulevard resulted in injuries on Tuesday, January 27. CHP reports that a white Mercedes sedan and a gold Toyota SUV were involved. Both vehicles were moved to the right shoulder, though debris briefly created a traffic hazard in the number one lane.

Oceanside Fire Department personnel evaluated occupants at the scene. One individual declined ambulance transport, while another was assessed for minor injuries. Tow services were requested as CHP officers managed traffic flow. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
