Portland, OR – Injury Multi-Vehicle Crash at I-5 SB/I-84 EB Con.

Portland, OR (January 8, 2026) – A multi-vehicle collision resulting in injuries was reported on Wednesday, January 7, along the southbound I-5 connector ramp to eastbound Interstate 84 in Portland, according to the Portland Police Bureau. Portland Police officers arrived on scene shortly after receiving reports of the collision and found damaged vehicles positioned along the ramp. At least one individual sustained injuries as a result of the crash.

Officers confirmed that medical personnel assessed the injured party at the scene before determining that further medical evaluation was necessary. The injured individual was transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment. The severity of the injuries has not been publicly disclosed.
