Sacramento, CA – Work Truck-Honda Crash on I-5 N/Richards Blvd. Injuring Motorists
Sacramento, CA (December 9, 2025) – Two vehicles collided on Monday, December 8, along Interstate 5 northbound near the Jno Richards Boulevard exit, leaving occupants with non-life-threatening but confirmed injuries. CHP officials reported that the crash involved a white work truck and a gray Honda, with both vehicles eventually coming to rest on the right shoulder.
The incident initially came through as ambulance-response required, and paramedics arrived shortly after to evaluate and treat the injured parties. While individuals sustained minor trauma, early assessments indicated no life-threatening conditions. The cleanup required heavy-duty towing assistance, given the size of the work truck, and multiple tow units were called to determine load-handling capability.
Fire crews responded to ensure scene safety, and for a brief period, there was confusion regarding the location until responders confirmed the crash site just north of the I-80 connector.
We extend well wishes to those recovering from this collision.
