San Diego, CA – I-5 On-Ramp Crash at 28th St Leaves Skateboarder Injured
San Diego, CA (September 24, 2025) – A collision involving a vehicle and a skateboarder left one person injured Tuesday evening, September 24, on the northbound I-5 on-ramp at 28th Street. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) received reports of the crash at around 7:22 p.m. Investigators said a blue Honda Accord collided with a skateboarder near the on-ramp, leading to emergency crews being dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, first responders found the skateboarder down with visible injuries. An ambulance transported the victim to a nearby hospital for further medical evaluation. The driver of the Honda remained at the scene and cooperated with officers during the investigation. Traffic in the area slowed as authorities worked to clear the roadway and ensure safety for other motorists.
