Santa Ana, CA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-5/17th St Leaves Injuries

Santa Ana, CA (September 24, 2025) – Several people were injured Wednesday evening, September 24, in a multi-vehicle crash on I-5 northbound near the 17th Street exit. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the scene around 7:45 p.m. The collision involved a black Jeep Compass, a red Ford pickup truck, and a white sedan, which came to rest on the right shoulder. The impact left all three vehicles with visible damage, blocking lanes and causing delays for drivers in the area.

Paramedics arrived quickly to assess the victims, and at least one injured person was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Others received on-site medical evaluations. Authorities have not yet released information regarding the severity of the injuries. CHP officers remain on scene to investigate the circumstances leading to the collision.
