San Diego, CA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5 S/SR-52 Causes Injuries

San Diego, CA (August 21, 2025) – A three-vehicle collision occurred along the southbound lanes of I-5 just north of the SR-52 interchange in San Diego on Thursday, August 21, leaving several people injured. CHP reported receiving the call around mid-morning and quickly dispatched officers and medical responders to the scene.

Upon arrival, authorities found three vehicles with significant damage from the crash. Several occupants suffered injuries, with paramedics providing immediate medical attention. At least one individual required transportation to a nearby hospital for continued treatment, while others were treated at the scene.

CHP has opened an investigation into the cause of the crash.
