San Diego, CA – Two-Vehicle Wreck at I-5 SB/I-8 Con. Causes Injuries
San Diego, CA (November 20, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on southbound I-5 near the I-8 East connector left injuries on Thursday, November 20. The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident after callers reported a white vehicle off the roadway in a grassy embankment and a silver SUV damaged along the right shoulder.
Responding officers found the vehicles with significant front-end and side damage consistent with a high-impact crash. One driver had their vehicle “blacked out,” possibly due to an electrical failure following the collision. Emergency responders assessed injured individuals at the scene, and at least one person required further medical attention.
Details regarding hospital transport were not confirmed. Traffic slowed significantly as officers worked to secure the area, document the scene, and arrange towing assistance. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
We extend our best wishes to all who were hurt and hope for a smooth recovery.
