San Diego, CA – Vehicle and Motorcycle Collision on I-5 Leaves Rider Injured

San Diego, CA (September 16, 2025) – A collision involving a motorcycle and another vehicle on I-5 southbound near Old Town left the rider injured Monday evening, September 15, according to the California Highway Patrol. Emergency crews responded shortly after 7:30 p.m. to reports of a vehicle versus motorcycle crash near Hancock Street. Upon arrival, responders found the motorcycle and another vehicle with crash damage. The motorcyclist sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Traffic was temporarily slowed in the area as officers documented the scene and cleared the roadway. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by CHP officials.
