Santa Fe Springs, CA – Crash on I-5 N/Paramount Blvd Ramp Leaves Family Injured

Santa Fe Springs, CA (August 23, 2025) – On the morning of August 23, a multi-vehicle crash on the northbound I-5 at the Paramount Boulevard off-ramp left several people injured, including children. The California Highway Patrol confirmed that the accident involved a white Audi A6, a white SUV, a black sedan, and a black Nissan Altima. The crash blocked multiple lanes, forcing traffic to the shoulder as CHP units and Downey Fire Department crews responded to the scene. Authorities confirmed that the driver of the Audi had children in the car at the time of the collision. An ambulance was requested after the parent reported injuries to both themselves and the children, including an infant. Emergency responders treated victims at the scene before arranging transport for further medical evaluation. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Officers are working to determine whether speeding or distraction contributed to the incident.
