Santa Fe Springs, CA – Hit-and-Run Crash on I-5/Paramount Blvd. Injures One
Santa Fe Springs, CA (October 26, 2025) – A hit-and-run collision on I-5 northbound near the Paramount Boulevard exit left at least one person injured on Sunday evening, October 27. The crash occurred around 6:50 p.m. and involved a gray Jeep Cherokee and a black Ford Fusion. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the Jeep reportedly flipped multiple times before coming to rest upright on the right shoulder. Witnesses told officers they heard a loud crash coming from the freeway moments before the vehicle overturned. The driver of the suspect vehicle, believed to be the Ford Fusion, fled the scene before officers arrived. One victim, possibly suffering from a head injury, was assessed at the scene by Downey Fire Department medics. The injured individual’s current condition has not been released. CHP officers closed portions of the northbound lanes briefly while clearing debris and documenting the scene. The investigation is ongoing to determine whether the collision was intentional, as one witness claimed.
