Woodland, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Semi-Truck on I-5 S Near I-505
Woodland, CA (October 25, 2025) – A pedestrian was struck and killed on Tuesday, October 21, on Interstate 5 southbound just north of the I-505 interchange in the Woodland area. The fatal incident occurred around 8:02 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Reports indicate the man had been seen running along the roadway after attempting to locate his vehicle. Fire personnel arrived shortly after the incident and performed CPR before confirming the victim had died at the scene. Preliminary details indicate the pedestrian was struck by a white semi-truck, which sustained damage to its front left corner.
Authorities closed part of the southbound lanes while emergency crews responded and investigators examined the scene. The Yolo County Coroner’s Office was called to the site later that evening.
