Santa Fe Springs, CA – Two-Vehicle Crash with Injuries on I-5 at Carmenita Rd.

Santa Fe Springs, CA (August 26, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision on the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 at Carmenita Road resulted in injuries on Tuesday morning, August 26. The California Highway Patrol reported that the accident occurred around 6:56 a.m. Paramedics were dispatched and treated multiple individuals at the scene.

At least one injured person was transported to a local hospital for further care, while others sustained minor injuries and were evaluated on-site. Towing crews worked quickly to remove the vehicles, but congestion lasted several hours before the freeway was cleared.

CHP officers are investigating to establish the cause of the crash.
